Are you curious about yoga but don't know where to start? Know you need to do yoga but want to do it in a judgment-free atmosphere? This 6-week beginner yoga series will teach commonly used yoga postures and explore various formats of yoga including gentle yoga, vinyasa yoga, yoga sculpt and more. We will break down the alignment of various postures, explain the anatomy being used, describe the benefit to the posture and answer any questions you may have. The goal of this series is for participants to feel comfortable with the poses and movements used in standard yoga classes and feel confident to perform these on your own or in other classes. This popular series is scheduled cyclically and will start with week 1 and go to week 6 and build throughout the series. Then it will start over at week 1.
Vinyasa Yoga Level 1
Mostly aimed to suit novice yogis, this class is also open to all physical activity levels and yoga experience. This class emphasizes foundational yoga postures, teaches you how to breathe steadily throughout a yoga class and helps you feel more comfortable in your yoga practice. Although this class moves at a slower pace than the other vinyasa classes, expect to be challenged both mentally and physically.
Vinyasa Yoga Level 2
This particular vinyasa class is a little more challenging. We expand on pose variations, binds, and inversions to keep the body guessing. Expect to move with your breath and focus your attention on your alignment and breath works. This flow class is sure to increase balance, flexibility and keep your mind engaged. As with all of our classes, we offer modifications for each pose to suit each participant.
Yoga Sculpt Circuit
This totally unique class is suitable for all fitness levels, this is a high energy yoga flow with stretching, strength & cardio. Weights are optional and different modifications will be offered to increase and decrease intensity. Each class will end with a 5-10 minute circuit of body-weight exercises to add a little sweat.
Total Body Resistance
All fitness levels are welcome. This class will work all the major muscle groups through bodyweight exercises and resistance bands and free weights. Modifications can be made to increase or decrease intensity. A 5-10 minute warm-up and cool down is included.
